How many matches does a round-robin schedule need?

Exactly (N × (N − 1)) / 2 — so 8 teams need 28 matches and 5 teams need 10.

What happens if I enter an odd number of teams?

The generator adds a placeholder named Bye so the rotation balances; the team drawn against Bye sits that round out and no match is played.

Does every team play every other team exactly once?

Yes — this is a single round-robin, so each pairing appears exactly once and no fixture is repeated.

Can I generate a double round-robin with home and away legs?

No — this generator produces a single round-robin only, where each pair of teams meets once.
